Bradley Brew Project Head Brewer

We are looking to add a full-time Head Brewer to our Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage brew house (“hot-side”) processes from wort production to fermentation tanks
  • Manage physical brewery activities including but not limited to inventory, organization, cleanliness and appearance
  • Support management Team with overall brewing strategy, direction and vision
Key Activities:
  • Own and direct all activities related to product management in the brew house (“hot-side”)
  • Support cellar (“cold-side”) activities and tasks as prescribed and required to meet Production timelines
  • Partner with Production Manager on recipe development
  • Coordinate and finalize finished product packaging specifics (i.e. CO2 volume, temperature, hop dump, etc.)
  • Own and coordinate (i.e. with distribution as needed) pre- and post-canning kegging per agreed upon specifications
  • Communicate upcoming can release information to Front of House and Distribution Team Members (leverage Slack, Homebase, email, etc.)
  • Support 250-300 case can runs every 10-12 calendar days
  • Manage current status and coordinate repair (when necessary) on all brew house and cellar equipment
  • Receive incoming inventory and items, organize as necessary and communicate receipts with the Production Team
  • Manage organization and cleanliness within the brewing area including ownership and delegation of required tasks
Roles and Responsibilities for All Production Team Members (including this position)
  • Strict adherence to production and safety SOPs
  • Assist management in assuring all production employees are always operating within specified safety SOPs
  • Keep an open line of communication with fellow Team Members at all times (leverage Slack, email, messages, etc.)
  • Document updates on Production Sheet for specific products where activities and tasks were completed
  • Document all deviations from defined tactical execution plans to ensure production history is appropriately captured
  • Document identified issues in the BBP Production Tracker (via GoCanvas) and notify fellow Team Members
  • Support production activities (i.e. can runs, keg filling, etc.) as necessary and required
  • Complete critical support tasks as required to ensure schedule and production timelines are met (i.e. brewhouse / cellar / keg cleaning, etc.)
  • Complete activities identified on, populate data and share with the full team daily production tasks sheets upon shift completion
  • Partner with Team Members on successful production execution
Successful candidates will also possess:
  • Minimum two years of commercial brewing experience
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail
  • Willingness to assist with tasks outside key responsibilities
  • Communicate efficiently with team
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
Candidates must be able to:
  • Lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs occasionally
  • Stand for 8-10 hours per day
  • Operate a forklift and complex machinery
  • Work in a non-temperature controlled environment
  • Handling of hazardous materials
Compensation based on experience. Benefits include quarterly Production bonus (based on output and yield efficiency), contribution to health insurance benefits, PTO, and merchandise and beer discounts.
