    About Us
    Grossen Bart Brewery is a 10 barrel brewhouse fermenting the purest form of outlandish character since 2014. We are primarily an ale house, with the occasional lager and a growing barrel program. Our head brewer was diagnosed with cancer and we are needing a contract brewer to oversee the brewhouse and its operations until he can take the job back over. 4-6 months.

    Job Summary
    We are looking for a full time contract brewer that is responsible for making high quality beer and all that is associated with its production. Working with the head brewer in his limited capacity, your responsibilities would include but not limited to raw material inventory and purchasing, wort creation and fermentation, packaging, quality control, maintenance and cleaning. Some one off recipe formulation and barrel projects could be included, but primarily the role will be to maintain the full time production and seasonals. Self driven as this role is primarily autonomous.

    Required Knowledge & Experience
    2+ years professional brewing experience
    Ability to produce and ferment 10 barrels.
    Knowledge of the various chemical and biological components involved in the production of wort and fermentation.
    Keen problem solving skills, leadership, and ability to improve processes as needed.
    Ability to troubleshoot and make adjustments in the event of equipment failure, ingredient shortages, or other unexpected obstacles.
    Strong communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and coworkers in a professional manner.
    Ability to create and follow detailed instructions and procedures.
    Possess the ability to multi-task and manage stressful circumstances associated with a fast paced and evolving work environment.
    Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
    Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment.
    Willingness to gain an understanding of quality assurance / quality control and problem solving skills as well as to troubleshoot any beer related issues.

    Additional Requirements
    Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, kneel, crawl or bend, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists.
    Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds, and be able to move kegs which weigh close to 165 pounds.
