Assistant Brewer / Cellarperson
Job Summary
Bombshell Beer Company of Holly Springs, NC is a rapidly growing 15 BBL Brewhouse facility with 8 fermentation vessels. The job of the Assistant Brewer/Cellarperson is to assist in the brewing needs, cellar work and packaging of the beer. This is a full time, hourly paid job that reports directly to the head brewer.
Flexible hours are a must for this position. Beer must move when its ready which isn't always the original planned day. Starting times can be very early morning or late morning and extend into early evening. An occasional weekend shift may be required.
General Accountabilities
• CIP of production vessels
• Canning Line Operator
• Keg Washing
• QC/QA tracking
• Assist in brewing, mash-in, grain-out, milling-in, cleanup
• Organization of Walk-In Cooler
• Maintaining accurate inventory and reporting numbers as needed
• Documenting fermentation metrics daily
• Maintaining appropriate keg inventory by size for daily deliveries
Job Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or a brewing certificate is preferred but not required
• Experience: 2-3 years of related experience is a plus
• Ability to write beer descriptions will earn bonus points
Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Proficient knowledge of equipment used to prepare beer
• Manual dexterity
• Get along with the rest of the team
Requirements
• Work and stand on your feet for at least eight hours at a time
• Move a full half-barrel keg (weighs around 165 pounds)
• 21 years or older
• Very organized
• Able to juggle tasks
• Positive in attitude
• Work in very hot conditions
• Work and support outside brewery events including tap takeovers, beer dinners and festivals when needed
• Give Brewery Tours when needed
