Production Brewery Worker
Location
Lost Rhino Brewing in Northern Virginia is searching for the right team member to fill a Production Brewery Worker spot. This is an “All Inclusive” position drawing upon multiple skills and traits. LRBC has been brewing Award winning brews from very stylistic Lagers to off the wall IPA’s as well as a few Sour and Barrel series releases. Be part of one of the most seasoned breweries in the area producing consistent product for many years as well as future expansion on the near horizon.

Responsibilities:
-Cellar work as well as warehouse work
-Basic brewery cleaning and sanitation work
-Facilities maintenance and organization
-Raw materials and finished product handling
-Forklift operation and other equipment in warehouse environment
-Monitor gravities, temperatures, off flavors and carbonations daily
-Set up and perform FV and BBT CIP’s, while maintaining our quality focused SOP’s
-Work on and operate packaging line
-Operate keg washer and fill kegs as needed
-Be responsible for ensuring that safety procedures are adhered to throughout the building
-Communicate regularly and efficiently with Brewing staff
-Arrive to each shift on time with a positive attitude
-Assist other departments when necessary
Our ideal candidate:
-Must be 21 years of age
-Preferred some level of Professional Brewing experience
-Must have a passion for beer and the work it takes to make it
-Must have attention to detail and be Quality-minded
-Will have a high level mathematical, verbal, and written communication capacity
-Will be a team player who works with others to achieve a common goal
-Flexibility in schedule to work days, nights and weekends if needed
-Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation chemicals
Physical Requirement/Working Conditions:
-Standing up to 10 hours per shift
-Stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, Squatting, Dodge, Dip, Dive, Duck, Dodge
-Manual manipulation of small parts and all equipment necessary to the job
-Lifting up to 55 pounds to shoulder height repetitively
-Able to lift 140 lbs to the waist
-Working in often hot/wet/cold/humid conditions
-Ability to walk up and down stairs and ladders throughout shift
