Device Brewing Company is seeking a highly motivated and hardworking individual to join our small efficient production brewing team in Sacramento, CA as a full-time Cellar and Packaging Technician.
A critical part of our mission as a brewery is to create fun, meaningful, fulfilling jobs, and to foster a safe workplace built on mutual hard work and passion for quality beer.
You will be responsible for a variety of packaging, cleaning, and cellar duties. We are looking for a candidate with previous experience in a production setting who is able to learn quickly on the job and seize opportunities for greater responsibilities.
Cellar and Packaging Tech job description and primary responsibilities:
- Assist in cellaring, packaging, warehousing, and brewing duties as needed.
- Specialize in running all beer packaging methods with the goal of always improving techniques and efficiencies.
- Participate in general upkeep and cleanliness of the brewery.
Preferred candidates have applicable professional brewery experience and familiarity with any or all of the following processes/qualities:
- CIP: Fermenters, Brewhouse, Pumps, Filter, Yeast Brinks
- CELLAR WORK: Fermentation Monitoring, Dry Hopping, Yeast Handling, Fining, Filtering, Carbonating
- PACKAGING: Kegging and Canning, experience preferred but not required
- BREWING PREP: Milling, Cleaning, Sanitizing Fermenters
- Safe forklift operation and hazardous chemical handling
- Mechanically inclined
- Eye for general warehouse and cold storage organization/cleanliness
Brewery work can be physically demanding. Candidates must be able to work for long periods on their feet, crouch and bend as needed, be able to lift 55lb over their head, be able to safely maneuver 165lbs, and must keep the safety of themselves and their coworkers in mind at all times.
