    Eno River Brewing is seeking a taproom manager to serve as a creative partner in cultivating a unique and inclusive outdoor craft beer experience on the banks of the Eno River in Hillsborough, North Carolina. The taproom manager will be an integral part of the daily operations of the brewery and will be expected to regularly collaborate with and work alongside the Head Brewer and the management team to manage every aspect of the taproom while fostering good relationships with vendors and suppliers and creating an unparalleled customer experience.

    The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and professional; has excellent written and verbal communication skills; has extensive experience in the service and hospitality industries; shows initiative and is proficient in multi-tasking; enjoys working as part of a team; and desires to play an instrumental part in upholding the company’s values and growing its vision.

    Job Duties
    • Oversee the operation and maintenance of all taproom equipment including, but not limited to, the rotational cleaning of draft lines, general taproom housekeeping, etc.
    • Mindfully manage and carefully maintain inventory of all taproom items, merchandise, and products (i.e. kegs, merchandise, food and beverage resales, glassware, cleaning materials, etc.) including, but not limited to, regularly updating web store inventory.
    • Create, manage, and maintain schedules for taproom staff and regularly audit hours and timesheets to ensure accuracy before final submission to payroll.
    • Proactively initiate and participate in regular meetings with ERB’s management team (Head Brewer, CFO, and General Manager) to discuss “the state of the business,” budget, goals, long-range planning, communication, staffing needs, and strategic partnerships.
    • Collaborate with Head Brewer and/or General Manager to organize and implement monthly staff training and tasting sessions, manage release schedule, and schedule food trucks, markets, and other weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual events.
    • Serve as the intermediary between the management team and taproom staff by clearly communicating goals and budgets and creating actionable items for the team.
    • Provide regular training for taproom staff on POS system, inventory management, taproom equipment maintenance, draft line cleaning and maintenance, etc.
    • Regularly update and organize POS system and tap lists via taproom menu board, printed tap lists, and online menus (i.e. QR codes, Untappd, etc.).
    • Supervise and manage taproom staff, and model by example, to ensure company’s standards for staff and customer experience are met and/or exceeded.
    • Bartend as necessary to ensure staffing needs are met with a minimum of two shifts per week.
    • Regular collection and distribution of photographic and videographic content to the General Manager for social media marketing and management purposes.
    • Represent the business in all interactions with customers, vendors, suppliers, community partners, etc.
    • Regularly and meticulously monitor vendor costs and investigate alternative sources to ensure that vendor costs are mindfully maintained.
    • Proactively seek and screen candidates that meet ERB’s vision and collaborate and communicate closely with CFO and General Manager to ensure all federal and state requirements are met within established timeframes.
    • Passionate focus on delivering an excellent customer experience for ERB customers.
    • Regularly maintain professional memberships, attend educational workshops, seek professional training and certifications, and participate in professional societies.
    Job Requirements
    • Eligible to work in the United States
    • Must be at least 21 years of age
    • Clean driving record
    • Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time
    • Frequent lifting of 25-50lbs
    • Ability to move sixtels individually, and half-barrel kegs in a two-person team
    • Desire to help grow the brand and implement the company’s vision for the space
    • Prior experience with restaurant or brewery POS systems preferred. Prior experience with Arryved a bonus.
    • Proficient in Google/Microsoft Office suite
    • Prior management experience in the hospitality industry. Prior experience managing a bar, taproom, or restaurant preferred.
    • Strict adherence to ERB’s Code of Conduct and ability to lead taproom staff by example
