North American Breweries owns and operates three U.S. breweries, five restaurants and tap rooms and one retail store with tasting bar in New York, Vermont, California, Oregon and Washington. The company was formed in 2009 and is headquartered in Rochester, New York, home to the famous Genesee Brewery. North American Breweries started a new chapter in our history when Florida Ice & Farm Co (FIFCO), a Costa Rica based producer of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, purchased the company in December 2012. FIFCO is a pioneer in the Triple Bottom Line philosophy of management that prioritizes financial performance, employee engagement, community involvement and environmental stewardship. With a parent company in the alcoholic beverage industry, we are poised to make additional investments in manufacturing, people, product innovation, sales & marketing in order to further grow our business.
Since 1878, the Genesee Brewery has brewed and sold the historic line of Genesee beers. Today we also brew Dundee Ales and Lagers, the Original Honey Brown Lager, Seagram’s Escapes and many beers under contract from other companies.
