Flying Dog is Maryland’s largest brewery...and we’re looking for a Sales Representative to execute our sales strategy and grow our business in New York. This position is focused 100% on off-premise accounts.
Flying Dog provides world class training that spans our brewing, packaging and shipping departments to distributor engagement and sales tactics and techniques. We also provide great tools to assist your efforts, including VIP sales reporting, Karma Notes management software, monthly sales trainings and a well-developed sales and marketing team.
The sales representative’s primary goal is to increase the sales and visibility of our brand. This will be accomplished by executing sales calls, building displays and locking down features. The candidate will need to work closely with our distributor partner, check code dates and product rotation to ensure the highest level of quality and manage distributor inventory. Customer service is paramount as is a passion for craft beer.

The must haves:
- Minimum two years of sales experience and knowledge of the three-tier system
- Experience with chain accounts is recommended
- The desire to learn and challenge yourself professionally
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Cicerone certified or the ability to do so
- Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- A passion for craft beer
- The ability to lift/move 35 lb cases of beer and move/maneuver 165 lb kegs
- Must reside in the greater New York City metropolitan area and have knowledge of the geographic area
