    As Coupe Beverages opens the doors to a brand new production facility, the company is also expanding its product range and distribution. We’re seeking an expert blender / brewer to support in the creation and production of Duchess Cocktails.

    Who we are

    Coupe Beverages is the producer of premium, ready-to-drink Duchess cocktails. Located in Vancouver, BC, Coupe Beverages was founded in 2019 with a mission to fill a gap in the market for high quality, real juice cocktails. Since December 2020, Coupe has launched two sell-out products: our Lightly Sparkling Duchess Cosmopolitan and Lightly Sparkling Lemon Drop cocktails. Now, with a new East Vancouver production facility dedicated to Duchess Cocktails, Coupe will be focused on expanding the line of Duchess Cocktails and developing new flavours and brands through 2022 and beyond.

    Who You Are

    You are interested and willing to learn about a beverage production environment. You ideally have experience in brewery / distillery operations, and working with filling and packaging machinery, although this is not required. You may have some bartending and You have an interest in creating quality products, and strive for efficiency across your tasks.

    You are a self starter, and can identify needed tasks without being told. You have are comfortable working alone, or as part of a team.

    The Position

    The Production Assistant operates our production system from receiving inputs to shipping the final product. You are responsible for assisting the rest of the team blending, carbonating, filling, and packaging, and for cleaning and sanitizing vessels, lines, and machinery daily.

    Coupe Beverages is a small company rapidly expanding our production and product lines. We are expanding across Canada and into the U.S. in the near future. As a Production Assistant, you will be part of an increase in our team, our equipment, and our processes. Your input to these processes and expansion is critical, a successful candidate will be interested and motivated to help our company grow.

    As a small company, your duties will include everything from cleaning and mopping to running the production line. The ideal candidate is comfortable doing all jobs, and lending a hand in all areas of the food and beverage production environment to ensure product is produced as efficiently as possible.

    Duties
    • Receive shipments of inputs and packaging;
    • Blend, fill, and package cocktails;
    • Complete tasks in accordance with company SOPs;
    • Keep accurate daily production records per company and Federal requirements;
    • Continually maintain cleanliness of all cocktail production areas including equipment;
    • Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules to maintain a clean working environment;
    • Attend production meetings and contribute to product improvement;
    • Lead and participate in R&D of new products and production steps;
    • Responsible to maintain communication of all issues or deficiencies to the owners and other colleagues;
    • Knowledge of and compliance with all company Policies and Safety Procedures;
    • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

    Assets (not required)
    • Experience in a brewery setting including some of: brewing, blending, distilling, carbonating, CIP procedures, is a strong asset;
    • Some experience with filling and packaging machinery, and tuning and adjusting machinery is a strong asset;
    • Experience driving and using a forklift safely;
    • Able to consistently lift and move up to 50 kgs;
    • Experience using ecommerce technologies such as Shopify, WooCommerce, and ShipStation;
    • Experience packaging and shipping;
    • Interest and/or experience with distilling, infusing, natural flavouring;
    • Interest in cocktail mixing, mixology, and other craft beverages;
    • Interest in the alcoholic beverage market and consumer interest.

    Qualities
    • Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills;
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, but love collaborating within a team;
    • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
