    Packaging Manager Job Description

    The Packaging Manager is responsible for organizing and overseeing the process of packaging all bottled and kegged products, running all packaging processes and the quality of output with the goals of ensuring efficient and productive manufacturing process and finished products that meet customer expectations.


    Responsibilities:
    - Overseeing the maintenance and operations of bottling line and packaging equipment.
    Planning and overseeing packaging runs including length of runs, staffing needs and
    scheduling.

    -Working collaboratively with Brewmaster, Logistics and Shipping/Receiving to plan production volumes to assure proper inventory is maintained.

    -Assure compliance with all GMP, OSHA, Organic and QA processes. This will include participation in and progression to GMP/SQF/OSHA team leader.

    -Monthly audits to assure compliance with GMP, OSHA, Organic and HACCP standards.

    -Inventory of packaging supplies and forecasting needs to insure adequate inventory maintained.

    -Oversee and arrange outside service calls relating to packaging and cellar equipment.

    -Direct supervision of all cellar and packaging staff.

    -Participating in employee reviews, quarterly goals, hiring for cellar and packaging staff.



    Requirements:


    -Strong mechanical and problem solving skills.

    -Experience operating counter pressure filling line/CO2 (bottling or cans)

    -Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations.

    -Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

    -Outstanding communications skills.

    -Experience with food safety including HACCP, GMP

    -Strong decision making skills and results-driven approach

    -Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand on feet for 8+ hours a day.
