    Position Overview


    The Taproom Manager is responsible for ensuring the Storm Peak Taproom is maintained through managing staff, customer experience, inventory, and sales. The ideal candidate for the position is a self-motivated, self-starter with ability to excel in instances of limited direction.


    Reporting Relationships


    This position reports to the Owners and is an integral part of the management team. This position collaborates frequently with other departments and outside organizations.


    Duties Include
    • Setting and maintain the daily schedule of taproom staff.
    • Maintain a clean, friendly, and welcoming environment for our guests at all times.
    • Insuring beer is served to proper standards.
    • Develop and lead beer server training to increase knowledge of staff.
    • Finding, interviewing, and hiring employees.
    • Credit Card and Cash handling including deposits.
    • Manage and assist in event planning, coordinating with the entire brewery team for annual events.
    • Manage inventory of retail items including merchandise and to-go beer.
    • Manage merchandise program including re-ordering of existing merchandise and developing new merchandise for sale.
    • Create standard operating procedures for re-ordering. Do the actual re-ordering of bar products and merchandise when necessary.
    • Participate in quality control with the brew team and ensure beer quality daily.
    • Develop reporting metrics for taproom performance and work to increase sales.


    Requirements
    • Five years minimum bar/restaurant or brewery/winery management experience to include purchasing, inventory controls, marketing, budgetary controls, personnel supervision, and process improvement and merchandise management.
    • Excellent personal communication skills
    • Knowledge of and passion for craft beer and the brewing industry
    • TIPS certification and familiarity with the TIPS process
    • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Ability to handle high stress situations effectively and professionally
    • Strong delegation and time management skills
    • Advanced knowledge and experience with POS systems
    • A basic familiarity in using the web and other technology (email, excel, word processing, etc.)
    • The ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for long periods of time

    This is a salaried position.
