Hi all,
We have been having problems with the solenoids staying open on our glycol system. We have a copper pipe header, with Asco Red Hat solenoid valves, using a 30% solution of Dowfrost propylene glycol. We keep finding little flakes of green specs in the solenoid valves that keep them from closing.
We recently cut into the header pipes and found a heavy buildup of flakey green scale. I assume it is some kind of copper corrosion. I've checked the pH of the glycol, it's at about 8.0 pH and at the proper concentration.
Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do about it?
Cheers,
