Dumb question about pex plumbing

I have been using a Takagi tankless hot water heater as a hot liquor tank with 1 inch food grade reinforced vinyl tubing with tri-clamp fittings to a 3 BBL set up. I am moving the heater and thought pex would be very handy to pipe the hot water to the vicinity of the brew stand. Is pex ok for this application? Will it leach anything undesirable?

Pex is ok, and will not leach anything. You can get stainless fittings for pex if you don't want brass or copper. You can even get color coded pex!
