Purchased a 80 gallon steam kettle which we would like to use for our yearly brewfest to brew a beer with 12 people.
Looking for some advice on using a 80 gallon Lee steam kettle as a mashtun.
I was wondering what would be the best way of circulating and draining the wort. If I use a filter on the bottem I am afraid it won't be big enough and if I get a bigger screen I have to much dead space under neath. I was thinking maybe to put in 3 copper circle with 1" tubing with cuts on the bottem. First one 32" diameter, second 24" diameter and third 14". The kettle is 36" on the top and rounds of to the botem, Put first circle right where it starts rounding of and the other ones underneath. Any advice?
