  • Fire brick firebox build...

    Hello,

We have been looking at a seven barrel kettle that has a sloped bottom. We were informed by the manufacturer that for this set up we would need to use a firebox made with fire brick with a forced air burner (midco economite burner).

Does anyone have any experience about how to build a fire box using fire brick? We would need to have an opening for the burner and another for the exhaust vent. Does anyone know who we would contact to design and build such a firebox to meet inspectors code requirements?

    Thanks!

    Re: Firebox

This sounds like a very tall order. Fire brick can mean fire bricks and also refractory that is mixed and formed.
An outift that builds commerical-industrial boilers would be the one to ask.
