Mismatched TC ports between wort aerator and FV

Our wort aerator has a 1.5" TC outlet, but our FVs all have 2" TC inlets. Is there any reason I shouldn't just get a 2" to 1.5" TC reducer to go from the aerator outlet to our 2" brewery hose?

Thanks, Leos. I guess I'm a little confused at why DME would include a 1.5" TC outlet when all of our cellaring tanks have 2" hose connections. Weird.

If your wort aerator is something like venture tube, it needs to be properly sized. Too big tube and you will not create vacuum in it, too little and it is a bottle neck in your transfer.

Ask your sales rep why it is 1.5" outlet.
