Silo help

We are investigating putting is a malt silo and are looking for any feedback anyone has on the process.

We are looking at a silo manufacturer recommended. I guess I am just looking for any pitfalls to avoid or advice you may have.

Also any recommendations on a scale for weighing out the malt as well as any configuration thoughts for layout.

I can highly recommend Schuld Bushnell. We have our silo feeding directly into the mill, then into a grist case on load cells. The load cells controller shuts off the silo auger when it reaches its setpoint.

Being in Ohio, you should get in touch with Mad Tree in Cincinnati. They just installed a silo about a week or so ago. I don't know the fellas down there, but they seem to be a bunch of good guys.
