  • Filling growlers with stout

Any suggestions on filling growlers with stout charged with a 30/70 nitro blend
    Thanks for any input, Grant

The way I see it, you can choose to (1) Learn to like flat stout, (2) Change it to 100% CO2 and have a more aromatic beer in the process.

Either way, fill with a tube that reaches the bottom of the jug.

    Cheers,
    Scott

Sorry, Grant, but I have to throw my chips in with Scott.
We keep 2 Nitro beers on tap at any one given time and invariably we get a desire by our customers to take them home in growlers. I have actually gone as far as to discourage customers from buying our Stout and Brown for home consumption. They just wouldn't be pleased with the product.

Without liquid Nitrogen capability, the Guiness "widget" technology, or a sophisticated counterpressure filler capability that will contain 30+ psi transfers, I consider Nitro beers more or less "living art" for that moment.
