  • Boil Kettle Exhaust (electric kettle)

I'm getting a 3BBL system up and running here in the next couple months and am at the point where I need to start figuring out how to exhaust the steam from the boil kettle.

It's an electric kettle, so I don't need to exhaust anything except the steam from the boil.

I need about a 18' tall stack, but was wondering the following:

    Stainless or galvanized?

Will I need an assisted exhaust (like a fan in, or on top of the stack) and do you have any suggestions for them?

Do I need double wall pipe, or is single ok?

Suggestions on keeping condensate from coming back into the kettle? I've heard people mentioning condensate rings, but can't find any info online. It was also suggested to put a step in the pipe with a small horizontal section and a way to have the condensate drain at the end of the horizontal section so it doesn't come back into the kettle.

    Any suggestions/experience/contacts would be helpful.

    Thanks,
    Nathan
