  • Cold dry hopping = clear beer? 36-37f / 1 week

    Hello,

We plan to dry hop new styles of beers but we want clear beers, we made a test by dry hopping directly in 12oz beer bottles with 1.65gr of centennial (or 1.14lb/bbl) and after a week we tasted them with a great flavor and aroma (that we want to achieve) and we noticed that the beers werent cloudy infact they were clear.

We did the dry hopping at 36-37f for 1 week.

If this works we can save production time by avoiding clarification with clarifiers or filtering. Or more even we could use recirculation in the tank to improve extraction.

    Any experience with this?

    Best regards,
    arturo.

I do it all the time, but I recirculate a little on day three. Works great!

And after you do the recirculation process do you start your cold crash to settle hop particules?
