    I've heard a 50/50 blend of Weyermann's CaraAroma and Weyermann's Abbey gets you both the color and the plummy/raisiny thing. As opposed to just the color. Have a homebrew-size test batch going...so no endorsement of the theory yet.

      hmmm... I don't so. Abbey is more toward bisctuity-melanoids, like Aromatic.

      I brew a beer with 30% Abbey, it's a nice malt
