Probably a really dumb question but can a carbonation stone be used for oxygenation or vice versa?

Same thing...
A stone is a stone. The difference comes in the porosity; size and uniformity of the pores. That's it. Better ones have very small pores that are very close to the same size and have a higher wetting pressure. They can be used for any gas.Phillip Kelm--Palau Brewing Company Manager--
