My basic problem is that my kegs are foaming to early. I fill the kegs using a floor scale. My kegs start foaming at 100 lbs (beer only) and i know the keg weight needs to be close to 130 lbs. I know the keg is still filling with beer but the amount of foam is very concerning. What are some of the possible solutions to mitigate this issue.

Too fast filling flow rate? Not enough keg pressure to control gas breakout?

Your back pressure is too low. Beer will not foam if it is pushed gently & slowly against the same pressure as it is in the BBT.

What they said: increase tank pressure (13-16psi, at least), pressurize your kegs to match tank pressure, and slow down the fill rate. Having a little foam waste is normal as the keg reaches full.

Prost!

And make sure the temperature is appropriate for the CO2 content and pressure being applied to both BBT and keg.

Thank you for the advice. I am working on creating better more even fills.
